Our student dorm not only offers you your own room and a shared kitchen, but also a spacious living room for each floor. This page gives you an overview of everything our dorm has to offer.
There are small (about 10 m2) and large rooms (about 15 m2). All rooms are fully furnished with clever storage facilities (bed, wardrobe, sideboard, chair, desk) and have a sink. You can add your own smaller pieces of furniture to the rooms. In each room, you have a LAN connection for internet (included in the rent).
Per wing, there is a kitchen with a large table, gas stove, oven, and freezer. Each resident has their own kitchen compartment and a compartment in the refrigerator.
The kitchen is always a meeting place for common dinner, cooking or just a cup of coffee. Crockery and cutlery is mostly available from previous generations of students and own cooking utensils are not needed.
In each living room there is a large table, sofas and a TV. This is often where people gather for cozy movie nights, dinners with the wing, or just to hang out. In recent years, many living rooms have been equipped with new sofas and televisions. From the living room, you can go directly to the balcony, which is shared with the neighboring corridor.
The 1st to 4th floors offer a balcony facing the street. In addition, we also have a large, south-facing balcony in front of our multipurpose room on the 4th floor.
In the basement we have our own bar. Here you can meet fellow residents every Thursday with a beer, wine, Spezi or other after-work drink, play a round of foosball, while listening to good music. Three times a semester there is also a big bar party, where you can party "until dawn" - an important part of student life. If the bar is closed, you can get cool drinks from the vending machine.
Each of our floor wings has two recently renovated showers available at the end of the hall.
We also have a beautiful garden, lovingly tended by the in-house gardener. The garden is big enough for summer parties or a round of spikeball. In our pergola you can find a shady place to relax, even on a very hot summer day. There is also a small vegetable patch and a grill that is used regularly in the summer. Of course, we also have beer tables.
The sports room is located in the basement of the student dorm. Weight benches, a cable pull tower, a pull-up bar, dip bars, weights, a punching bag, and a table tennis table are all available.
Our student dorm has a fast internet connection and each room is also equipped with a LAN connection. There are also WLAN access points located throughout the house.
In the student dorm, there is a garage with 14 car parking spaces, that can be rented for rent (40 € per month) or for single days. There are also bicycle hooks available, which can be reserved free of charge. Furthermore, we also have a large bicycle parking lot right outside our front door.
In the basement there is a laundry room with clotheslines and stands. There are two washing machines (1.70 € per wash) and a dryer (1.70 € per use), updated in 2023.
If you ever need a break from your studies or want to finish off your well-deserved evening off, you can challenge a roommate to a game of billiards on the 4th floor.
Our reception area also serves as a music room. The key for the piano (and the grand piano in the multipurpose room) can be borrowed for a small fee (10 € per semester).
The large hall is used in various ways. Either for events such as the tutor program, or for the general assembly and celebrations. There is a grand piano in the hall; this (and the piano in the gate) can be used for a small fee during the semester (10 €). When the large hall is not being used for other purposes, it can be used as a study room. Here you can study in peace and spread out your books and folders.
There is a small chapel in the house. This is used at least once a semester for church services.
A multifunction printer is available on the 4th floor. Printing and copying currently costs 0.05 € per page. Scanning is also available free of charge.
